Family of Funds

The Carolina Meadows Foundation offers donors the opportunity to support the mission of Carolina Meadows through a broad range of Funds.

Memorial Gifts - ANY gift to the Carolina Meadows Foundation, Inc. can be designated in memory or in honor of a loved one, neighbor, colleague, or caregiver. You can easily make memorial gifts online via our donate button.  If you are donating by personal check, please include a note with the name of who you wish to honor. They or their next of kin will be notified of your gift. The dollar amount will not be disclosed.

1.      UNRESTRICTED FUNDS

  • Fund for the Future: This fund provides for longer-term needs and assures the continued success of Carolina Meadows. If not otherwise noted, undesignated gifts go into this fund. This fund is spent at the discretion of the Foundation to meet the greatest needs at CM.

  • Fund for Campus Life: This fund supports shorter-term campus enhancements, pilot programs, and innovative initiatives that fall outside the standard operating budget. By funding resident-initiated proposals, the Foundation fosters a spirit of innovation and improves the overall quality of life at Carolina Meadows. These resources allow us to test new ideas that serve the community’s greatest needs.

2. RESTRICTED FUNDS

  • Employee Emergency Assistance Fund: Grants aid for employees in an unexpected hardship.

  • Employee Success Fund: Led by the Residents Association in deep appreciation of team members’ dedication, expertise, and caring spirit.

  • Employee Education Fund: Supports development of staff to enhance skills, gain a new certification, or advance to a new level.

  • Scholarships Fund: Provides RA employee scholarships for professional development.

  • Memorial Grove Fund: Supports the needs of the Memorial Grove.

  • Resident Projects Fund*: Supports small and meaningful resident projects across campus.

  • Music at the Meadows Fund*: Backs performers and resident participation in music activities.

  • Library Fund*: Supplements library management and offerings.

  • Park Fund*: Aids upkeep of the Park.

  • Labyrinth Fund*: Sustains the Labyrinth and Sculpture Garden.

  • Meadows Garden Fund*: Enhances the resident-maintained Meadows Garden.

    *funding decisions are at the discretion of resident-led committees

In addition to the above, Carolina Meadows is committed to protecting the promise of lifetime care for all residents. Contributions to a Fund for Residents are made by residents at the time of entrance. These resident benevolent funds provide financial security to any resident in need.
